Mette Puppets and Entertainment invites you to a world full of endless wonders and boundless curiosities! We strive to create new and exciting programs that entertain, educate and inspire all audiences - from the young to the young at heart!
Mette Puppets and Entertainment was founded in 2024 by and is run by Sean P. Mette. A professional puppeteer with decades of experience performing, teaching and exploring the exciting possibilities of puppetry on stage, screen and in the classroom.

Who is the “Mette” of Mette Puppets and Entertainment?
For the past twenty years, Sean P. Mette and his puppetry has been creating lasting memories across the country as a professional puppeteer. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Sean began his professional career as a touring puppeteer and actor for Madcap Puppets and since then, he has performed with the Know Theatre of Cincinnati, the Carnegie, OTRimprov, and for CET Public Television as a part in their Smartpath series. In 2018, Sean’s experience in puppetry allowed him to join as an adjunct faculty member at Capital University, teaching a course in puppetry. Sean’s all digital puppet show, Unintentional Significance, has won several awards including the 2022 Show of the Year Award from the Young-Howze Theatre Journal.
Sean created Mette Puppets and Entertainment as a central home for all of his creative and educational puppet projects and endeavors. It is his sincere hope to create shows that he would have wanted to watch as a small child that will inspire those that are young and young at heart to imagine boldly and search for the endless wonders and the curiosities that surround them.
When he is not busy working with puppets, he often can be found in the woods hiking, fossil hunting and creating craft s’mores recipes.
