Sean Sees Movies: Everything Everywhere All At Once
Go see "Everything Everywhere All At Once!"
I have not seen a great deal of marketing about this movie and that is an enormous shame. This is one of the best films that I have seen in a long time. If you're going to see one movie about a multiverse (note: I did not say "the" multiverse) then you can't really go wrong with this movie. It is trippy and funny and has amazing action.
Normally, I might share the trailer to try to entice you to see it. However, I went into this mostly blind and I think that is the best way to approach this movie. Having seen the movie, I think the trailer gives too much away.
Are you looking for a description? Okay, here we go:
A woman must fight her way through a multiverse so she can finish her taxes.
Seriously. That is the description I got before seeing this movie and I think that it is all that you need.
Am I being deliberately vague? Oh God Yes! There is so much crazy stuff that happens in this movie. Absurdist moments that had me cackling in my seat. Fortunately for me, there were plenty of others doing the same.
I hope that it has come across, how much I enjoyed this movie. I wish that I could tell you more, however, I want to limit what spoilers are out there for this film. Personally, I can't wait for more people to see it and we can have more open conversations about what we all just saw. I don't see many movies more than once anymore in an effort to see a greater variety. However, I am seriously considering seeing this again.
Sean Sees Movies Score: 10/10
Post Blogging Thoughts: This movie explained a the idea of a multiverse better than Marvel did and did it in less than three minutes. Marvel took three years, multiple movies and a streaming series.
